A successful GAA club is only as good as its members and volunteers who give their time to keep the club running!. This is across many different areas, each a vital cog in the club operations. Some key roles are:
– Club Officers e.g., Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Registrar, PRO etc.
– Lotto Committee who run the club lotto every week bringing in the funds to keep the club running.
– Coaching at all levels from Senior, Junior and Juvenile across both men’s and ladies’ clubs.
– Grounds maintenance e.g., grass cutting, strimming, pitch lining, net maintenance, cleaning.
– Fundraising via specific club events.
Above are just some examples of the roles that required all the time. Getting involved in your club can be a great way to get to know other members of the community, it can be a way of giving something back after the end of a playing career. It can also be a path way to making and keeping new friendships and most of all give a sense of being part of something successful!
We are always looking for new volunteers so if you would like to get involved in anyway even if only for an hour a month or a week or whatever time you can allow, then please get in contact with any of the GAA committee members or contact us via the email address on the contact page.
